Bold Reuse
Apr 30, 2025
At Soldier Field’s United Club, Bold Reuse helped roll out one of the first large-scale reusable cup programs in the NFL, serving over 8,000 fans per game with beverages in branded, reusable cups. After use, fans return cups into dedicated bins, which Bold Reuse collects, washes at a local hub just minutes away, and returns for the next event – creating a closed-loop system that keeps waste out of landfills. Launching in 2024, the program is set to expand in 2025.
The program is a win for all:
The Chicago Bears are reducing single-use plastic waste and making sustainability a visible part of the fan experience, all while keeping operations seamless and efficient.
Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) reinforced its commitment to a circular economy, sponsoring the branded cups and signage and turning reuse into a high-impact sponsorship activation.
Bold Reuse provided end-to-end implementation – from logistics and washing to fan education and data reporting – proving reuse can scale at major sports venues.
Fans at the games can be part of preventing single-use waste while enjoying the game.
Overall, this reuse program demonstrates how reuse can create wins across the board: advancing sustainability goals, deepening brand engagement, and unlocking new revenue streams through reusable packaging sponsorship opportunities.
